Description:
Chives are best grown in zones 5-10 planted in full sun.
Chives need moist, well-drained garden soil with a pH of 6.0-7.0
How to Grow Chives:
Chives should be sowed indoors in late winter, covering seed lightly and keeping the soil moist.
Once spring comes you can transplant the seeds outdoors once all threat of frost is gone.
Be sure every 3 years to divide the older plants in early spring to prevent overcrowding and freshen with compost or rotted manure.

Avoid wet areas that encourage stem and bulb diseases.
