Description:
Ginger grows best in zone 10 and higher or in a greenhouse. Ginger needs full sun to partial shade in order to grow properly
Soil has to be fertile, moist, well drained garden soil with a pH of 6.5-7.5
How to Grow Ginger:
Ginger will rarely flower in containers, in the right conditions it will produce dense conelike spikes.
You want to be sure to plant rhizomes in pots in a mix containing peat, sand and compost. Be sure to bring the ginger containers in during the winter months and then move the containers back outside during warmer weather.

Be sure to water well during the hot summer months.
