Lemon Balm
Description:

partial shade.
Lemon Balm needs well-drained soil with a pH of
6.7-7.3 in order to thrive.
Lemon Balm is used in teas and has lemon scented
leaves with small white flowers that can attract beneficial
insects to your garden.
How to Grow Lemon Balm:
You want to plant Lemon Balm in spring from seeds
and sow them into the soil shallowly.
Be sure to divide plants or take cuttings in early
spring from older plants to help germinate the older plants
and start newer plants in your garden.
Be sure in the autumn to cut away all old stalks.
Mulch the areas around the plants each spring and keep the soil
moist and free of weeds. You can grow small plants indoors
in containers.
Pests and Disease Prevention:
Thin plants for best air circulation and to help
prevent powdery mildew. Lemon Balm is rarely infested
with insects.
