As to results on the video shown above- the video is an actual LIVE unedited video. Yet let me share, there are 2 different types of hair shafts- one with large cells and one with small cells. It is these cells that also share the pigment of color such as blond, red an brunet hair color. Based on which cell wall your cat / pup has, will mean- instant quick results or a bit more time to degrade the stain from the cell wall.
Here is the easiest way to explain this... Sorry there is no real short way of saying this.
I'm a natural blond- over the years I have attempted to color my hair red. When I first color my hair- it is beautiful red, but as the month passes - the red fades and washes out, and so at the end of the month- I'm pretty much a blonde again. My blond hair cells are small, and the red cell color is larger than what can fit into the cell of my hair shafts- so my hair can only hold but so much color. This is true for the staining factor as well.
Now- let's reverse this thinking. If I were a red head trying to go blond- the cell walls of my hair shaft would be larger than the color being applied- so therefore the hair will hold the color much longer and not wash away as easy since more of the application is actually being soaked in. This is the case in some hair types for the animals which means - it will take a bit more to degrade the stain from within the hair shafts.
If you think about this type of hair/fur stained as 100 layers of stain- you will need to work towards removing all 100 layers while protecting from getting any new staining. The blond (hair type one) doesn't collect stains as deep as the red head (hair type 2)
I know in Persians, a white cat isn't really white- they actually are masking a color under the white genetically- and it is this color that is determining the cell shaft size. For the most part dilutes have small hair shafts and the boy in the video Hercules, is a dilute- blue tabby and white. I have another boy- a brown tabby and white...when he stains it take a bit longer to get him clean- but the powder helps intensity! I have hopes to video him sometime this summer to help explain all of this better with a visual.
Even though this product was designed mostly for my Persians, Our product has had a lot of success with the Maltese breed - and they have a totally different hair than any of the other breeds. I've come to the conclusion this product system works better than most because it's tackling not only the stain on the outer portion of the hair shaft - but also the inner cell walls of the hair as well by pulling the stain from the inside, out.
