Why use a dead sea mud mask?

Why use a dead sea mud mask, you ask? The answer is because authentic, 100% pure Dead Sea Mud is, hands-down, one of the best skin care ingredients in nature, particularly so for anyone with adult acne and/or mature skin who are looking to turn back the hands of time and purify the skin of all the toxins and dirt that can get lodged in the pores. It contains 26 natural minerals, which act like vitamins for your skin, and many of which can be found only in the waters of the Dead Sea. Dead Sea Mud is also a great alternative to a chemical peel.

Who is this mask best for?

Authentic, 100% pure Dead Sea Mud is an extremely rich and powerful deep cleanser and anti-aging spa treatment, so ideally it is for any of the following groups:

  • Men and women over 30
  • Oily and/or acnetic skin
  • Mature skin

Those  younger than 30 with acne or who wish to deep cleanse their facial pores may wish to try our Dead Sea Mud Soap instead, which contains the highest concentrations of pure, authentic Dead Sea Mud you'll likely ever see in a mud bar, but not so much that it will overwhelm your youthful skin. Those with dry/dehydrated skin or sensitive skin may also wish to try our mud bar in lieu of our mud mask. Use our mud bar daily or weekly to wash your face. All your pores will be perfectly cleaned.

Use and Skin Type:

Use Tre’Yours Dead Sea Mud as a mask once or twice per week as needed. Apply a sparely thin layer on skin- Allow to slightly dry for 7-12 minutes and rinse well! If it takes longer than 15 minutes to slightly dry- you are using the mud too thick. If your skin type is dry or sensitive- do not use more than once per week.  ALL Mask, especially mud, works best if it is rinsed before its 100% dry- in other words, rinse before the cracking stage!

- The Castle Baths mud has an interior seal on the jar , however we do not heat seal the seal…our seals are simply placed on the jar lid to protect the lid itself from the mud. Sometimes they self seal and sometimes they do not completely self seal.

FIRST

When you first open up your dead sea mud, if it has been sitting, the salty seas water will separate from the mud somewhat and float to the top. You should stir it back to a constancy mud base

Use on hair, face, and or body

  1. Apply sparingly. Dead Sea Mud applied too thick will cause the mud to not dry properly.
  2. If you have sensitive skin, or wax your upper lip area- do NOT mud this area!
  3. Always apply on the face using upward strokes. Never pull the face skin downward. Gravity does enough of that for you.
  4. Be gentle around the eye area. Be careful not to get the dead sea mud in your eyes
  5. If the mud begins to feel dry or itchy- you need to rinse it off…it is finished doing what it is designed to do.
  6. If you notice blemishes arise after using this mud you may need to wait a week and detox again due to the toxins in your pores being lifted and extracted.
  7. The mud is not designed to remove blackheads in one use- you will need several applications. Please never pick blemishes or blackheads.

How to use Dead Sea Mud on the face or body:
-Apply a thin layer of mud to cleansed skin while gently massaging onto the skin with your fingers (be sure to keep the mud away from eyes and mouth).

-As you apply the mud, never use your fingers in a downward motion, apply with upward strokes. Gravity already does enough pulling of the face downward.
-Leave the mud on the skin for 7-12 minutes allowing the mud to slightly dry. If the mud begins to crack and itch- it has been on too long.

To remove mask:
For face- Use  a wet lukewarm or cool soft wash cloth  and lay on your face for a few seconds to soften the mask, then rinse the remaining mud off with warm water. Try not to scrub as you remove your mask,
For body- try hopping into a warm shower to rinse the mask.

How often should I apply a Dead Sea Mud mask to my skin?
Because of the incredibly high mineral and salt content of the Dead Sea Mud, it may affect individuals with different skin, differently depending on their skin type and sensitivities.  Limit one application per week if you have dry or sensitive skin. Normal to oily skin types can apply 2 times a week if desired.

*Important -Because of the high mineral and salt content the mud may slightly tingle or sting the skin.  If at any point the mud becomes uncomfortable, rinse off with warm water to remove the mask. If you feel burning or itching- rinse, don’t wait.
